该片在一定历史史实和真实人物原型的基础上创作完成，讲述了1938年春，庐州沦陷后，晚清著名淮军将领、台湾首任巡抚刘铭传后人为了保护稀世珍宝——西周三大铜器之一的虢季子白盘，在新四军的帮助下与日寇斗智斗勇的故事。据了解，虢季子白盘是中国目前现存商、周时期体积最大、重量最重的青铜器。1950年，由刘铭传第四代孙刘肃曾无偿捐赠，现藏于中国国家博物馆。 展开全部
